Featuring: Kevin Gordon from The Derry Rail Trail Alliance

Kevin Gordon is currently the President of the Derry Rail Trail Alliance, a group he joined around 1998 to help maintain the trail and keep it clean for public enjoyment. Kevin has played a key role in organizing and running volunteers for the Millennium Running Cheap Marathon for the past four years, an event that draws over 1,500 runners. He also revived the Derry Rail Trail Alliance website: www.derryrailtrail.org.

Kevin has been a resident of Derry for 40 years and retired in 2020 after a 46-year career at Raytheon in Engineering and Program Management. He has been married to Diane (Greetham Gordon) for 41 years, and together they have three children—Bryan, Katie, and Jenn—and five grandchildren, ages 13, 11, 5, 3, and 2.

Kevin is an active community volunteer and leader. He is a member and past president of the Derry Village Rotary Club and is involved with the town’s Community Meals Network, where he also serves as co-director of the Community Meals Network Spaghetti Supper. He previously served as Chair of the Sonshine Soup Kitchen and dedicated 12 years as a member of the School Board, including two as Chair, and six years as the School District Moderator.

Kevin enjoys exploring the beauty of the Derry Rail Trail and other trails across New Hampshire and beyond.
