Small Business Day is an opportunity for small business owners and managers to receive valuable information to help their companies grow and prosper. This is presented in partnership with New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs, New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration and your local chamber of commerce.

A special panel featuring legislative leaders who will identify top small business issues they’ll be addressing during the 2019 legislative session. This interactive session will allow you to get the latest information on key legislative proposals impacting the small business community. Senate President Soucy, House Speaker Shurtleff, Senate Republican Leader Morse, and House Republican Leader Hinch have all been invited to participate.
9:05 am Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses
Learn about this no-cost training program to help entrepreneurs grow their business and create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. Panelists include: Susan Huard, Manchester Community College; Santosh Salvi, Unique System Skills, LLC.; Richard Bliss, Babson College; and Sonia Moin, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses.

10:15 am Financing Options for Small Business
Learn about traditional and alternative (non-traditional) options for financing your small business from a panel of experts – Amy Sharp, TD Bank; John Hamilton, Community Loan Fund; James Key Wallace, NH Business Financing Authority; and Hollis McGuire, NH SBDC and Impact NH Fund (angel investment fund.)
11:10 am Association Health Plans (AHPs)
This session will focus on Association Health Plans and the opportunity a chamber-led AHP will provide for both chambers of commerce and small businesses to lower the cost of health insurance. Panelists will provide an update concerning legislation currently before lawmakers and discuss steps chambers and small businesses can take to ensure this opportunity becomes law. Panelists will include Dan Cronin, CGI Business Solutions; Stephanie Richardson, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care; a representative from Anthem BCBS; and Jim Roche, BIA.
