Description
Join us in person at Rivier University or virtually anywhere on Thursday, August 13th for the Home Stretch 5K! Registration begins at 5:30 pm and start time is at 6:30 pm. All in-person participants will receive a beer ticket courtesy of Millyard Brewery. Under the expert guidance of Millennium Running we will follow New Hampshire social distancing guidelines while supporting families facing homelessness in Southern New Hampshire.
Thank you to our sponsors: Balanced Wealth Advisors, NATCA, Millyard Brewery, Eprint Inc. and Eastern Bank. This is part of the Toyota Gate City Series.
Below is some information about the changes that will be made at the Home Stretch 5K to adhere to social distancing guidelines. We want to thank Millennium Running for their guidance on how to create a safe and fun event for all!
- Expect a staggered start time for all runners/walkers. Participants will be starting from multiple lines that will be 6 feet apart. Family members can walk/run together but individuals will start solo. The good news is each group or solo participant will be announced at the beginning AND the end of the race.
- The start will take about 8 minutes to be as safe as possible with the fastest runners at the front to limit passing.
- Race volunteers and staff will be wearing masks.
- The race size will be limited to ensure all social distancing standards are maintained throughout the event.
- Water stations will no longer be placed throughout the course. We will provide bottled water at the end of the race and participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration devices.
- Porta potties will be available and spaced out so that lines do not merge.
- There will not be a formal awards ceremony this year after the race, but we will publish the results on a screen and on the website. Awards will be available for pickup after the event. This is so we can limit group gatherings.
- Masks are not required for participants during the race but encouraged when in line or near others.
Below is some information about the Virtual race:
- Digital bibs will be emailed before the race.
- The race runs from Thursday to Sunday at 11:59 pm.
- The virtual 5K will have printable overall results.
